OEC C-Arm Power Requirements

When we talk to buyers looking into their first C-arm purchase, we're commonly asked questions about the power requirements of the equipment. For a first time buyer, this makes perfect sense- no one wants a significant capital investment to arrive on their doorstep, and not be able to use it.

To help clear this question up, we gathered electrical spec for the six most common OEC C-arm systems we offer. Hear about it in the brief video clip below and, for future reference, bookmark this page for the spec chart at the end!

  • OEC 6600
  • OEC 6800
  • OEC 8800
  • OEC 9600
  • OEC 9800
  • OEC 9900

OEC C-Arm Power Supply Requirements

OEC Power Requirements: For the User

For the person who will use the C-arm on a regular basis, we can tell you what you need to know about power for all of the OEC models listed above in one short, sweet sentence: Your C-arm can be plugged into a standard wall outlet. That's it.

OEC Power Requirements: For Your Provider

The typical OEC C-arm is setup for use with US standard power. If your facility does not use this setup, don't worry. The power cord on an OEC C-arm can be re-terminated with whatever type of plug is used in your area and/or the generator can be converted to receive a variety of incoming voltages. You'll need to make sure that your C-arm provider is given advance notice of what kind of power setup is in your facility so your incoming system can be configured to work with it.

Take a look at the table below to see which incoming voltages your system can be configured for.

The Takeaway

In terms of power requirements, the OEC line offers a relatively high degree of flexibility and compatibility with the majority of standard power configurations around the world. Communicating your facility's power configuration to your provider in advance will help prevent unexpected delays after your C-arm's arrival on site.
