I’ve had the privilege of working for Block Imaging since 2010. My story began as a sourcing specialist, where I had the honor of working with many of YOU, helping find homes for your used radiology equipment and making sure you had the right bells and whistles for your replacement systems. Flash forward a few chapters and years later, and you’ll find me on the HR team - my job is now centered on serving its remarkable people, who are committed to giving YOU the best equipment, parts, and service in the industry!
From the HR side of the company, I’m able to help meet the unique needs of those you reach out to every day. I have a strong commitment to client satisfaction and to serving our people well. While I may no longer connect with you directly, by serving the team well, I’m able to free them up to do what they are best at doing, delivering the best imaging products and the best customer service to YOU! Yup, I dabble in benefits and compliance these days- and continue to love how my story with Block unfolds. It’s a privilege to be a part of a team and a company that lives its mission statement out loud. People Matter!
I am passionate about people and processes. iHeart organizing. I crave high trust relationships. Adventure is done best with my husband and two boys. Up North anything. Spending endless hours of play on the beach. Saugatuck is a great little beach town. Cheering for my boys from the sidelines. Fall in Michigan -the cool nights, the smell of bonfires, the color of trees set ablaze, the smell of nostalgia. The black and white silence of a MI winter. Getting lost in the sounds of my son playing the piano keys and the way his melodies wrap around my heart. The invitation to grow. Friday family game night. Reading. Extra spicy Bloody Mary’s with a salad on top. Strong coffee. Spent a summer touring with the Celebrant Singers throughout the U.S., Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Received a performance vocal scholarship for singing, “The Way We Were.” For my 40th birthday, I jumped out of an airplane to free fall for 40 seconds and ran my 1st Marathon. The Block family is near and dear to my heart. Family means everything- they are my “why.”
Hope can grow. The world is as beautiful and as broken as it ever was. My children are the best part of my life -they teach me and push me and delight me. It’s not really hard to figure out what you want your life to be about, what’s hard is figuring out what you’re willing to give up in order to do the things you really care about. My heart is more elastic than I think. When life invades, the work of forgiveness and transformation can do more things than we can imagine. Celebrations are a wonderful thing! Say something. I’ve been made vulnerable by my children. When you walk with someone, listen to their story, carry their burdens, play with their kids, that’s community- those connections are no small thing. Practice the idea of enough. Leave behind some things. We were made to be second-chance givers and hope bringers. Pray to be redeemed and not necessarily rescued. It’s tiresome to hide behind the pretense and pressure of perfection- so don’t. Life is messy- get used to it. Sing. Allow yourself to be silly. Carve out that time you need. Kneel in prayer. Fill a huge whiteboard with all you hope for. My life is filled with all sorts of sacred and significant moments. Remember that sometimes the happiest ending isn’t the one you keep longing for, but the thing you absolutely cannot see from where you are. He has made everything beautiful in its time- Ecclesiastes 3:11
